This app is very useful for traveling in Japan and studying japanese ! It gives the meaning of a sequence of kanjis just by scanning it. Of course sometimes it doesnt work but most of the time it works just great !

Necessary for beginners and still handy for proficient Japanese speakers. Its the app you need for traveling in Japan !

I have been looking for such an app for a very long time - being able to identify almost any kanji instantly feels awesome! Moreover, being able to draw them is also quite original, and the part I had actually given up on finding too ! XD I definitely recommend it

Exactly what I was looking for. If you want to translate kanji on the go this app is definitely worth it!

Try to use the app multiple time with no success... Its a good thing they have menu with pictures or a mockup of the meal in a display outside... I could not decipher the menu for simple things like figuring out if it was a beef or pork soup...

This app is great. Was looking for an app that could read kanji accurately. CamDictionary is hit or miss...but this one is really good.

Not good enough.

This app has been a god send for me as it has saved me an immeasurable amount of time when having to plow through Japanese academic readings and novels. Thank you very much. After downloading this on a whim expecting it to fail like other visual recognition apps, I was pleasantly surprised when it actually worked superbly. Of course, the kanji recognition is still iffy at times depending on lighting, contrast, clarity and font, but it works 99% of the time and thats all I could ask for. If theres one thing I would like to see improved, its the dictionary database. Ive come across a number of words that do not register as phrases and I would rather not have to rely on other dictionary apps.

This is the best app I have ever purchased. Five stars for the time and pain it has saved. However it does crash a lot.

A little quirky but delivers. Havent seen anything better so definitely worth it! Currently using it for reading Japanese works and having no big issues so far.
